Terms of Service

Last updated October 7, 2026 · Test version 2

The short version

  • Nellie is an AI travel advisor. Its suggestions can be wrong or out of date, so check anything important (entry rules, opening hours, transport) before you rely on it.
  • Nellie is in test mode. Every booking, price confirmation and payment result is simulated: no stay is reserved, nothing is charged, and we charge no service fee and earn no commission.
  • Test mode is about bookings, not your information. Your messages, files and email address are real, and we handle them as our Privacy Policy describes.
  • Before real bookings and payments start, we will publish new terms. Accepting these test terms is not permission to charge you later.
  • We don’t sell flights. Nellie shows options and sends you to the airline to book.

1. Who we are and these terms

Nellie is operated by Oakwood Standard, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“we”, “us”). These terms apply when you use Nellie on the web, with or without an account. By using Nellie you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

2. What Nellie does

Nellie helps you plan trips in conversation: it suggests ideas, drafts itineraries and finds hotels near your plans. It can watch hotels you choose, and rooms you have booked on refundable rates, and tell you when their prices change. You can plan a trip on your own or with other people.

3. Advice from an AI

Nellie’s answers are written by an AI model and may contain mistakes, omissions or outdated information, including about weather, seasons, events, opening hours, travel times and prices. Nellie’s suggestions are not professional, legal, medical or immigration advice. You are responsible for checking visa, passport, health and entry requirements, and for your own decisions and safety while travelling. Prices and availability shown while planning are indicative.

4. Test mode

Nellie is currently in test mode. In test mode:

When real bookings become available, we will tell you in Nellie and publish updated terms. Those terms will explain who you pay and what for, when a booking is confirmed, and how cancellations and refunds work. They will apply only to bookings you make after accepting them, and every charge will be shown and confirmed at checkout. Nothing in these test terms authorises a future charge.

5. Your account

You can plan without an account. To save trips across devices, to receive email alerts, to join a group trip or to make a (test) booking, you need to sign in. Keep your sign-in secure and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You must be at least 18 to use Nellie.

6. Test bookings

When you make a test booking, Nellie shows the hotel, room, dates, number of guests, price and cancellation terms as returned by our supplier’s test service, then simulates the booking. You confirm that any guest names and email you give are ones you may share. A test booking can be “cancelled” in Nellie; nothing is refunded because nothing was charged.

7. Price watching and swaps

Nellie can watch hotels you ask it to watch and rooms you have booked on refundable rates, and tell you when the price moves in a way that matters: in the trip, and by email when you’re signed in (on by default; you can turn it off when you start a watch). You can stop any watch at any time, including from the link in an alert email. In test mode, if you choose to swap to a cheaper room, Nellie makes the new test booking first and then offers to cancel the original one. Nellie does not book or rebook on its own: booking or rebooking within a rule you set in advance is not available, and if we add it, the updated terms will cover how it works and what it may charge.

8. Group trips

You can invite other people to a trip. The organizer decides who can see the plan, who can change it, and who can book which parts. Each person is responsible for the items they book. Only invite people who expect to hear from you; an email invitation is sent in your name. What other people on a trip can see is described in our Privacy Policy. An organizer can remove people from a trip. People who leave keep their own bookings; they can no longer open the trip, and their private chat with Nellie stays private and is kept until they ask us to delete it.

9. Flights and other services

We don’t sell flights. Nellie may show flight options it has found and links to book with the airline. Those bookings are between you and the airline. Activities, restaurants, transport and other services Nellie mentions are suggestions; any booking for them is with the provider you book with.

10. Third-party content

Hotel information, prices and photos come from suppliers and other sources, and destination photos come from Unsplash and Pexels, credited to their photographers. We aren’t responsible for the accuracy of third-party content, though we try to show it faithfully.

11. Acceptable use

Don’t misuse Nellie: no unlawful use, no attempts to break, overload or get around limits of the service, no automated scraping, no false bookings, and no content that infringes others’ rights or is abusive. We may limit or suspend access if you do.

12. Our content

Nellie, its design and software belong to us or our licensors. You may use Nellie and share your trip links for personal, non-commercial purposes. A trip link shows the plan, not your chats. Itineraries Nellie writes for you are yours to use for your trips.

13. Disclaimers

Nellie is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including that Nellie will be accurate, uninterrupted or error-free. We aren’t responsible for the acts or omissions of hotels, airlines, suppliers or other providers, or for events outside our control such as weather, strikes, closures or government restrictions.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to Nellie is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in connection with the claim, or US$100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under laws that apply to you.

15. Changes and ending use

We may change Nellie or these terms. If we make significant changes we’ll make it clear in Nellie and update the date above. Changes that introduce charges take effect only as described in section 4. You can stop using Nellie at any time and ask us to delete your account and trips.

16. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the law where you live requires otherwise. Before starting any claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it.
